Editing

I practice a very intrusive form of editing -- far beyond the "language correction" that some might expect. If I don't understand what something means, I'll ask you. If something doesn't make sense (to me), I'll tell you. If you've already said something and then repeat yourself, I won't edit further but -- working directly in the file (as I do now exclusively) -- I will delete it myself, while making a note so you'll know what happened). If I see ways that your text can be written better, I'll do that.

I strongly recommend reading my Stylebook and using its tips to improve your writing before giving it to me. That will save my time (which I appreciate) and your funds. It's focused on economics but much of it is more widely applicable.
